One of the taller cultivars, with upright flower stems that carry up to 30 pendulous, bell-shaped flowers in spring. The flower colour can vary from greenish-brown to deep purple, and they can look almost black in certain lights. This brooding colour contrasts well with silvery foliage plants, and their upright habit means they also associate well with grasses.
