Heuchera villosa 'Autumn Bride'

A mound forming herbaceous perennial with pale green foliage and larger leaves than some other cultivars. ‘Autumn Bride’ flowers from July and provides mid- to late summer interest as some of the earlier summer flowers are beginning to flop. These delicate white blooms are held on upright stems and offer a gentle highlight in areas of partial shade in the garden.
How to care for Heuchera villosa Autumn Bride:
Plant ‘Autumn Bride’ incorporating a scoop of well-rotted compost into the planting hole. Heucheras grow well in most average soils – not too wet or too dry. Strong summer sun can scorch and crinkle the foliage. Spring and autumn are the best times to plant, when the ground is moist and warm, so they settle in easily. Remove tatty foliage in autumn. Lift and divide clumps every couple of years in early autumn to improve vigour, and replant with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the crown of the plant in spring.

This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
