Iberis Mermaid Lavender ('Ibsz0007') (PBR)

evergreen candytuft

Product Image
A brilliant little evergreen that brings colour and structure with little fuss, once established, forming a neat, low mound of deep green foliage that stays tidy all year round.

Masses of soft lavender-pink flower clusters rise above the foliage from late spring into early autumn, giving a fresh, airy look that works beautifully at the front of borders, in rock gardens or spilling gently from containers.

Well suited to sunny or lightly shaded spots, Iberis Mermaid Lavender performs best in free-draining soil and quickly settles in to become drought tolerant once established, making it a reliable choice for low-maintenance or gravel planting schemes.

How to care for Iberis Mermaid Lavender ('Ibsz0007') (PBR):

Plant Iberis in full sun and well-drained soil, spacing 30-40cm (12-16in) apart. Water moderately while establishing, then sparingly once settled, as it is drought tolerant and only needs a light spring feed.

Protect young plants from slugs and snails and after flowering give a light trim to keep them neat—avoid cutting back hard, as they don’t respond well. Older clumps can be replaced every few years if they become woody.
