Lupinus 'Chandelier' (Band of Nobles Series)

lupin

Product Image
Cheerful spires of yellow, pea-like flowers, each with a darker standard, appear from June to July above dense clumps of mid-green leaves. This popular cottage garden perennial is perfect for the middle of a sunny border. To encourage a second flush of flowers in September and prevent Lupinus 'Chandelier' from looking scruffy, deadhead after the first flowers have faded.

How to care for Lupinus Chandelier (Band of Nobles Series):

Plant lupins in full sun with well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil, avoiding heavy clay. Water regularly while establishing, but once mature they become more tolerant to dry conditions.

Stake tall cultivated varieties with bamboo canes in spring before flowers appear, and remove faded blooms to encourage a second flush. Mulch lightly in winter to protect roots, and watch for slugs and snails on young growth.
