In early summer, upright poker-like flowerspikes appear, each tightly packed with pink flushed buds. Over the next few weeks, these open (starting from the base of the spike), to warm, apricot-orange flowers that are flushed with gold. Try teaming them with deep plum or strong purple tones for a jaw-dropping display.
