Monstera adansonii 'Monkey Mask'

mini swiss cheese plant

Product Image
An unusual form of the ever-popular (and easy to grow) Swiss cheese plant, Monstera adansonii 'Monkey Mask' has slightly ruffled rich green leaves, each laced with a series of irregularly shaped holes. If trained onto a support it can be used as a climber - otherwise just let the stems cascade and it will gradually spill over the edges of a shelf or ledge.

Please note that the plant comes in a nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option.

How to care for Monstera adansonii Monkey Mask:

Keep Monstera adansonii in a bright spot with plenty of indirect light, avoiding harsh sun that can scorch its delicate leaves. It thrives in warm rooms with steady light levels and benefits from regular misting to maintain humidity, especially during dry indoor conditions. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them healthy.

Water when the top layer of compost feels dry, keeping the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. This species prefers slightly more consistent moisture than larger Monsteras, so check the soil often. In winter, reduce water and allow the compost to dry a little more between waterings.

During the growing season, it will appreciate a regular watering routine and a humid environment to encourage lush, perforated growth.
