This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  Launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2012, this sun-loving semi-evergreen perennial is hardier than most, and will produce a mass of hot pink flowers, which if deadheaded regularly will keep appearing from midsummer to mid-autumn.
