Gently ruffled petals in pale blue-grey are traced with fine, bronzed veining, giving each flower subtle depth and movement as they open above upright, sword-like foliage. Iris 'Melbourne Hall Ghost' stands tall and elegant, making it a natural focal point in sunny borders or gravel gardens where its time in the spotlight can really shine.
Best planted in a warm, well-drained spot, it thrives in full sun and copes well with drier conditions once established. Ideal for adding structure and pastel tones, it pairs beautifully with softer planting while still holding its own as a standout feature.

How to care for Iris Melbourne Hall Ghost:
Plant out as soon as possible after they arrive, shallowly with the upper part of the rhizome sitting on the surface of the soil, incorporating a low nitrogen fertiliser in the planting hole. After planting remove the uppermost third of the leaves to protect against wind rock.
In exposed areas stake with bamboo canes in early spring. Remove the stems after flowering from the base as this will concentrate the plant's energy into producing new rhizomes. Divide and replant about every three years.
