Philadelphus Petite Perfume Pink ('P1') (PBR)
mock orange

This delightful dwarf mock orange cultivar offers a burst of colour and fragrance in a compact package. 'Petite Perfume Pink' showcases a profusion of bright pink, intensely fragrant flowers that blanket its mound-forming habit throughout summer, creating a stunning visual display while attracting bees and butterflies. Its adaptability shines in urban and coastal settings, demonstrating remarkable tolerance to air pollution and dry, open ground conditions once established. This versatile shrub excels in a variety of different settings, including woodland-themed or scented gardens, as well as larger containers for the patio and porch.
When planting Philadelphus, ensure the roots are firmly covered with well-rotted compost or manure and add a sprinkling of mycorrhizal fungi onto the root ball. Keeping it well watered during the first growing season will help it settle in easily. Mulch around the roots in spring with a deep layer of well-rotted garden compost or manure. Prune in late summer, immediately after flowering, removing one in four of the older stems to ground level once established.
