Pure white tubular trumpets like miniature snapdragon spikes announce 'Crystal Peak White' onto the summer flowering stage. This upright, spreading herbaceous perennial with lance-shaped, mid-green leaves makes a long flowering addition white-themed, cottage or cut flower gardens.
How to care for Physostegia virginiana Crystal Peak White:
Support with brushwood or link stakes in late spring before the flowers appear. After flowering cut back the faded stems to the ground to encourage new growth from the base of the plant. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the plant in early spring.
