Scilla 'Blue Giant'

glory of the snow bulbs (syn. Chionodoxa forbesii Blue Giant)

Product Image
Larger than average, white-eyed, blue flowers form in loose spikes in early spring. Versatile and easy to grow, they're ideal for a sunny rock garden, alpine bed or border where a vibrant shot of early colour is called for.

Suitable for naturalising, Scilla 'Blue Giant' can be kept in the ground where they will gradually form generous swathes.

How to care for Scilla Blue Giant:

Plant bulbs 8-10cm (3-4in) deep and 8-10cm (3-4in) apart in autumn, in clumps or naturalistic drifts where they can remain undisturbed for several years. Deadhead as the flowers fade to prevent self-seeding, or lift and divide congested clusters in summer when fully dormant.
