Considered the best trailing pansy ever thanks to its winter-defying vigour and endless waves of rich two-tone colour, this vigorous, spreading pansy produces abundant blooms in striking raspberry purple and sunny yellow. As part of the Cool Wave series, 'Raspberry Swirl' boasts the most prostrate habit and overwintering hardiness of any trailing pansy. Furthermore, it delivers unrivalled performance cascading from baskets and planters, blanketing the ground as a colourful groundcover. In addition, the large, velvety flowers reliably bloom through winter and well into early summer.
Plant out in compost or well-drained, humus-rich soil that is not frozen or prone to waterlogging. Protect young plants from slug damage using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. Deadhead the spent blooms to prolong flowering.
