DeWit lightweight compost/soil shovel

  • Lightweight and compact
  • Forged carbon steel head with serrated cutting edge
  • Lifetime guarantee

Lighter and smaller than a traditional soil shovel, this compact DeWit model makes the arduous job of shifting soil and compost much easier.

Built for a lifetime of use, the head is one-piece forged from tough carbon steel with no welded joints to break or bend, making it exceptionally strong. Sharp serrated 'teeth' on the leading edge help break up compacted soil and cut through roots.

The head is bolted to a shock-resistant solid ash shaft with an ergonomic T-handle for comfortable handling.

As the handle will naturally shrink over time, a locking nut fixes the head in place - letting you simply re-tighten it to keep the shovel solid and strong.

Please note: take care not to place excessive strain on wooden handles when levering out roots or rocks in very firm soil. To help, water the area well to soften ground first. A crowbar may be more suitable for very heavy or stubborn obstacles.

Head 22cm x 27cm
Total length 132cm
Weight 1.4kg
