Bringing in armfuls of flowers for the vase is one of the great pleasures of gardening. This kit includes everything needed to start a cutting patch, with a carefully chosen mix of flowers for colour, shape and texture, plus useful tools for sowing, growing, cutting and arranging, all packed in a jute bag.

Contents:
  • Round ikebana kenzan - a traditional Japanese flower-arranging tool with a bed of fine pins to hold stems securely in place. Sit it in a shallow bowl or vase to create simple, sculptural arrangements.
  • Pack of 40 wooden plant labels - reusable labels for keeping track of what's been sown and where.
  • Nutscene mini twines - three handy mini spools for tying in stems and supporting plants, compact enough to keep in a pocket.
  • Niwaki garden snips - light and slender with high-carbon steel blades for clean cuts. Brilliant for flowers, fruit and veg and any green growth.
  • Packet of white laceflower seeds - airy white flower heads with a delicate lace-like look. A lovely filler for bouquets, where the fine stems and flowers sit easily amongst bolder blooms (approx 25 seeds).
  • Packet of 'Madame Butterfly Cherry Bronze' snapdragon seeds - tall spires of ruffled, double flowers in rich cherry and bronze tones. Excellent for cutting, adding height and a warm shot of colour to summer arrangements (approx 25 seeds).
  • Packet of ‘Apricota’ cosmos seeds - soft apricot-pink flowers with darker centres on long slender stems. Free flowering and easy to cut, with plenty of blooms for relaxed summer bunches (approx 50 seeds).
  • Packet of ‘Purity’ cosmos seeds - a cutting garden classic with crisp white flowers and fresh green foliage. Its simple, open blooms mix beautifully with almost anything else in the vase (approx 100 seeds).
  • Packet of 'Queen Lime Red' zinnia seeds - unusual dusky rose and burgundy flowers brushed with lime green. Strong stems and long-lasting blooms make it a particularly good choice for cutting (approx 20 seeds).
