If you’re planting bulbs or plug plants by the dozen, this hand auger makes the job much quicker and easier. It cuts neat, consistent holes into soil with a simple twisting motion, shifting stones out of the way as it goes.

This is a good alternative to our best-selling auger bits if you don’t have a cordless drill or prefer not to use one. It’ll also save you a lot of time compared to digging each hole by hand.

Made from steel with a 26cm wide handle and rubber grips, it’s comfortable to hold and easy to use. Twist it in, lift out the loosened earth and place in your bulb or plant before backfilling.

A great help when you’ve bags of bulbs waiting to be tucked in the ground before the weather turns, or for pinpoint planting in borders where there are gaps but not much room to manoeuvre.

The steel is powder coated in Crocus green to prevent rust, and two sizes are available to suit different bulbs and plants.

Please note: in clay or stony soil it’s easier to dig the hole in stages rather than driving it all the way in one go.
