Designed for seedlings, cuttings and young plants as they start to establish, this is the lightest mix in the John Innes range. The lower nutrient level helps avoid pushing growth too quickly at this early stage, which tends to make plants weak and leggy.
The loam-based blend contains sand and grit, helping roots anchor well while balancing moisture and drainage. Enriched with a zinc complex and biochar, it also supports root development and releases nutrients as young plants need them.
Suitable for use throughout the year to grow vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs.
