Rusted lantern
This beautiful bulb-shaped lantern, available in two sizes, is handmade from iron with a rich rustic finish that gains character as it ages. Each one is bespoke, starting life as a precisely cut flat sheet of metal, which is carefully heated and hand-shaped before being welded and finished to produce the final result.
You can stand it on the ground or hang it from a hook or crook using the sturdy hanging loop. After dark, with a flickering pillar candle inside, light diffuses through the bars producing a lovely atmospheric glow.
The lantern is powder coated to create a tougher finish than conventional paint, but if kept outside the metal will oxidise a little more with exposure to the elements. Do be careful when touching it as the rust may transfer to hands, clothing, etc.
Warning: the lantern will get hot in use; keep out of reach of children and wait until fully cooled before handling. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
