Thatcher’s Mulch is made from clean, easy to handle pelletised organic straw, sourced from UK farms. It’s simple to apply, just scatter the pellets around your plants and water them in. They quickly expand (up to six times their size) creating a soft, golden layer that covers the soil.

This protective layer helps lock in moisture, reduce weed growth and shield roots from extremes of heat and cold. It’s particularly useful around vegetables, strawberries and fruit bushes, where keeping the soil evenly moist can make a real difference during the growing season.

As the straw gradually breaks down, it returns organic matter to the soil, improving its structure and feeding the life below the surface. Natural, sustainable and chemical free, it not only protects your plants, but continues to benefit the soil long after it’s been applied.
