Vitax silver sand

New
Product Image
A small bag of lime-free, washed silver sand. Mixed with compost for seeds and cuttings, it creates a finer, free-draining medium that reduces dampness and boosts germination and root development.

Added to container and border mixes, it improves aeration and prevents waterlogging, making it ideal for alpine or Mediterranean planting. It’s also useful for mixing with loam to top dress lawns, helping improve drainage and level uneven ground, and comes in handy for marking out beds on dark soil.

Approximate packed weight 5kg (this may vary depending on water content).

Key features:

  • Washed and lime free - suitable for adding to potting mixes
  • Creates a finer, free-draining medium
  • Also useful as a top dressing for lawns
