Geranium pratense 'Cloud Nine' (PBR)

Fresh, finely dissected foliage appears each spring, quickly forming a loose mound, which is smothered in large, gently ruffled, lilac-blue double flowers in late spring and early summer. Then, after a short hiatus, it often goes on to produce a second, less profuse flush in late summer, offering a smattering of flowers that fade into autumn. An award-winning geranium (it took the Silver Medal for Best New Plant at the HTA National Plant Show in 2017), it makes a fabulous addition to formal borders or more naturalised settings.

In midsummer rejuvenate plants that are beginning to look jaded, by removing old flowered stems and leaves. Lift and divide large colonies in spring.
