  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: April to May
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

In each collection you will receive the following:

15 × Muscari aucheri 'White Magic'
From amongst the basal rosette of rich green foliage, pretty green-budded flowerspikes emerge in mid-spring, opening from the base to scented small white flowers. Less vigorous than M. armeniacum, it makes a lovely addition to the alpine garden or rockery, and looks great in a pot filled with mixed seasonal colour. Grows to 15cm.

    15 × Muscari armeniacum 'Peppermint'
Small ice blue flowers, each with a fine white lip, form in conical spikes that rise above the slender foliage in mid-spring. It looks wonderful when allowed to form generous swathes, particularly in a woodland or meadow-style setting, and it also looks very sweet in patio pots, windowboxes and alpine beds. Grows to 20cm.

    50 × Muscari armeniacum
Charming, cone-shaped spikes of tiny, mid-blue flowers appear in April and May above the grass-like, mid-green leaves. Grape hyacinths look gorgeous peeping out of a large container, planted with yellow spring-flowering pansies. Quickly forming small colonies, they're also valuable for naturalising at the front of a sunny mixed or shrub border. Grows to 15cm.

  • Garden care: Plant 10cm (4in) deep in naturalistic groups in autumn. During summer when the bulbs are dormant lift and divide groups that are becoming congested.
  • CAUTION do not eat ornamental bulbs
