A characterful, upright and compact tree, its gnarly stem supports large, glossy, deeply-veined, scalloped, emerald-green leaves tinged purple underneath. Polyscias ‘Fabian’ is a superb indoor plant that makes a real statement and taking point - and it's said the leaves and roots can be used as antiseptic and deodorant!

How to care for Polyscias Fabian:
Polyscias thrives in warm, humid environments with temperatures consistently above 16°C (61°F) and a preference for 18-24°C (64-75°F). Position it in bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight, and maintain humidity above 50% by misting regularly or using a pebble tray with water.
Water moderately, allowing the top of the compost to dry out between waterings, and reduce watering in winter while ensuring the soil doesn’t dry out completely. Prevent overwatering to avoid root rot and leaf drop, and ensure the pot drains well after watering.
Prune to maintain its shape and encourage branching, and pinch out leaves to thicken growth. Repot every 2-3 years as required.
