Sharing the same family as both the Monstera and the Philodendron, this amazing, scrambling aroid originates from Malaysia and Southern Thailand, and like its close cousins, it also has the same fenestrations (deep cuts, lobes and holes) on its leaves. Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is great at small-scale climbing, and it will thrive when given a moss pole to cling to. They're easy to grow houseplants that will create a ‘Jungalow-style’ look in a large living room, or brightly lit corner.

How to care for Rhaphidophora tetrasperma:
Keep in a bright spot with plenty of indirect light, avoiding direct sun that can burn its smaller leaves. It prefers warm rooms and benefits from occasional misting if the air is dry. Wiping the leaves with a damp cloth helps keep them glossy and dust-free.
Use a light, well-draining compost and water regularly to keep the soil just lightly moist — let the top layer dry out slightly between waterings, checking more often in smaller pots. Reduce watering in winter, but don’t let the roots sit in damp soil.
Provide a moss pole or coir stick for support as it climbs quickly, and with consistent light, warmth, and moderate humidity, your plant will grow lush, healthy foliage with its signature split leaves.
