This new, long-flowering ornamental sage shares many of the characteristics of its much-loved cousin ('Caradonna'), however it's upright, purple-stained stems are crowned with soft pink flowers. A valuable addition to the summer garden, it adds colour and structural interest to the planting scheme, while helping to keep the pollinators topped up with pollen and nectar.
How to care for Salvia nemorosa Caradonna Pink Inspiration ('Tuitsalv') (PBR):
To prolong flowering remove the flower spikes as soon they start to fade. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring.
