From the latest generation of trailing pansies, 'Cool Wave White' creates stunning displays of flowers on vigorous, spreading plants. This short-lived perennial, typically grown as an annual or biennial, can bloom almost year-round, and the flat-faced, rounded blooms reach up to 5cm (2in) across in a pristine white shade. In addition, it possesses exceptional resilience, rebounding after harsh weather that damages other pansies. Furthermore, the lightly scented flowers require no pinching and the variety overwinters better than most. Ideal for containers, baskets, borders and beyond, this carefree, cool season pansy produces abundant blooms.
Plant out in compost or well-drained, humus-rich soil that is not frozen or prone to waterlogging. Protect young plants from slug damage using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. Deadhead the spent blooms to prolong flowering.
