Niwaki mainichi secateurs - left handed

Created especially for left-handed gardeners, these are high-quality secateurs shaped to sit naturally in the left hand. No need for awkward twisting or working around a right-handed design.

The carbon steel blades make a crisp, clean cut and the chunky catch at the bottom is easy to flick open and shut, even with cold hands or muddy gloves.

Bright yellow handles make these easy to spot when you’ve set them down absent-mindedly, and one blue sleeve sets them apart from Niwaki’s right-handed secateurs, so you won’t grab the wrong pair from the shed.

The blades are suitable for cuts of 10-15mm, depending on plant type. Ideal for pruning, deadheading and general tidying of smaller stems and branches.

Care for your pair

Look after your secateurs by only using them on plant matter - never wire, stone, plastic or other hard materials - and always cutting on the diagonal. Use the base of the blades rather than the tip for heavier cuts and never twist them or apply uneven pressure.

Clean and dry the blades after every use (a Clean Mate and water are great for removing rust, sap and leaf resin), apply a coat of camellia oil and store in a dry place. Sharpen every couple of weeks or as needed.
