A yellow toolbox of treats for cleaning and sharpening. Inside you’ll find a mini Clean Mate, camellia oil, oil dispenser and sharpening stone, with a little room left over for extra bits and pieces. A useful gift for anyone who wants to keep their carbon steel tools in tip-top condition.

Contents:
  • Mini Clean Mate - a handy little block to scrub rust, sap and grime from the blades of snips and secateurs. Dip in water (and rehydrate regularly) to restore blades to their former glory.
  • Camellia oil - the traditional choice in Japan for protecting carbon steel blades against rust. Odourless and non-toxic, it’s also handy for kitchen knives and conditioning wooden handles.
  • Oil dispenser - prevents mess and waste when oiling tools. Half-fill the bottle with camellia oil and the wadding inside will wick it to the top, ready to give tool blades a good all-over coat.
  • Sharpening stone - a fine grade (#1000 grit) whetstone with a concave edge, ideal for everyday sharpening of secateurs. The flat side can also be used for straight-bladed shears and topiary clippers.

The front clasp keeps everything contained so it can safely be transported if needs be. Once the camellia oil is opened, make sure to replace the rubber bung so it doesn’t leak when laid on its side.
