For jobs that call for a little more protection, these Woodland Wonders gauntlet gloves are a useful pair to have close by. The extra-long cuffs help shield forearms when tacking prickly roses, brambles and overgrown borders. Cushioned palms and gathered wrists makes them comfortable to wear and keep out debris.

They’re soft but hardwearing and suitable for regular use in the garden without feeling too bulky. The pattern, featuring botanical artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections, is like a glimpse into a thriving woodland with birds, insects, wild berries and leafy branches set against a forest green background.

To keep them looking good they’re machine washable at 30°C, and there’s a degree of stretch to the fabric so one size fits most women’s hands.

Palms: polyurethane 60%, polyester 40%. Backs: polyester 95%, elastane 5%. Fourchettes: polyester 90%, elastane 10%.

Finding your glove size:

Measure around your dominant hand, just below the knuckles (excluding the thumb). The measurement in inches equates to your glove size. Round up to the nearest half inch to allow plenty of room.
