Cercis siliquastrum'Bodnant' infuses spring with vivid purple pea-like blooms that appear directly from bare stems, echoing the flattened purplish pods that follow. This superior variety emerges with bronze heart-shaped leaves, turning green as summer advances. This is a small to medium tree that stays compact and manageable, and and in autumn, the leaves transition to brilliant yellow before shedding.
How to care for Cercis siliquastrum Bodnant:
When planting, add some soil conditioner (well-rotted compost) to the planting hole and some mycorrhizal fungi to aid root establishment.
