Dainty daffodil collection

daffodil collection

Product Image
Bright and bicoloured narcissi blooms, sweetly scented and bursting with pale, lemony yellow freshness complemented by the fragrant white jonquil ‘Thalia’. A wonderful collection for those seeking a combination of perfectly matched blooms in a cut-flower or spring border display.

How to care for Dainty daffodil collection:

Plant 10-15cm deep from late summer to early autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead and allow the leaves to die back naturally.

What's included:

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Jack Snipe': A miniature trumpet daffodil with petals that open up and curl backwards, making the flower look a little like it has been grown in a wind tunnel. The other feature of this small daff is the bicoloured flowers - white outer petals with a yellow central cup. Good for adding early spring colour to a mixed border, or pot them up and move them to a prominent position on the patio when they start to flower. Grows to 25cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Sweetness': A taller jonquil, which produces a single golden yellow flower on each stout stem. Reliable and hardy, it takes inclement weather in its stride and has really well scented blooms, so try to place it near a pathway or seating area. Plant more than you think you will need as you will also want some for cutting - they will fill your home with their heady perfume. Grows to 40cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Thalia': A multi-headed trumpet daffodil that emerges from its bud a greeny-white and opens to reveal a delightful, pure white flower that looks really good planted in big swathes. This is quite an old variety that was a firm favourite of the Victorians. It went out of favour for several years as the newer varieties had bigger flowers or bolder colours. Happily though, this gem is now enjoying a renaissance due to its simple, understated elegance. Grows to 40cm.
